Metro Trains Australia (MTA)

MTA is a consortium of rail and construction businesses โ€“ all with unrivalled credentials โ€“ enabling us to draw on the strength and experience of MTR Corporation, John Holland Group, and UGL Rail.

So whether weโ€™re lending guidance and expertise to Metro Trains Melbourne โ€“ or delivering a new travel experience via the North West Rapid Transit system in Sydney โ€“ we remain committed to advancing the scope and performance of transport in Australia.

MTA is the service provider for the Rail Industry Worker Program (RIW), a national competency management framework for rail workers, devised by the Australian Railway Association (ARA) and delivered in partnership with rail operators around the world.

MTA owns and manages a number of intellectual property. MTA managed to develop โ€œDumb Ways To Dieโ€ as the worldโ€™s most recognised safety campaign, with 320+ million online views and over six billion game sessions played worldwide. MTA also pursues a digital future through innovative technology, such as virtual reality learning modules for train drivers using a powerful blend of sticky learning, computer gaming and neuroscience.
